Peptide identity, purity & assay — RP-HPLC-UV
Our core certificate of analysis. Reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214 nm. Every COA reports identity (retention-time and UV-spectral match against a certified reference standard), chromatographic purity (area %), and assay / net-peptide content (quantified mg of peptide per vial — not just a purity %). Each COA carries a unique QR code and SHA-256 hash, verifiable at kmdanalytical.com/verify.

Rates apply automatically to the whole order: $125/sample at 5+, $100/sample at 10+. All prices are in US dollars (USD). Your card issuer converts at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. Pooling vials for a group? See group testing. Testing for a brand? See testing for vendors.
Multi-compound (blend) vials
A vial containing more than one active — a blend — is billed at the standard sample rate plus 50% for each active beyond the first. Each additional compound needs its own reference standard and a method that resolves it cleanly from the others, so it is genuinely more bench work than a single-compound vial.

A blend counts as one vial toward the volume tiers, and the surcharge applies to whichever per-sample rate your order qualifies for — so a two-compound vial on a 5+ sample order is $187.50 rather than $225. Enter a blend on the order form as a single vial and use “+ Add another compound in this vial” for each additional active; the total updates automatically.
What you receive: one certificate per vial with a separate row for each active — its own identity, chromatographic purity, and mg/vial — sharing one chromatogram and one verification code. Not a combined assay.
One honest limit: a clean per-compound result depends on our method resolving your specific actives. Most combinations are fine, but some — compounds that co-elute, or several very polar actives together — cannot be separated reliably. Send us the compound list before shipping and we will confirm what we can quantify, or tell you plainly if we can't.

Turnaround is measured from receipt of your sample at the lab — shipping time is separate. *Surcharge applies to the order total, since rush service expedites every sample on the order. Rush is next business day: vials received by 12:00 PT are certified by the end of the next business day. It is self-serve on orders up to 4 vials; larger rush batches are quoted by arrangement. Same-day is by prior arrangement and subject to capacity; samples must be received by 10:00 AM PT.

Bacteriostatic water can be added right on the order form — it bills at the flat $75 and counts toward your sample total, so it can move your whole order into the next rate tier. (Four peptides is $600; add bacteriostatic water and all five samples drop to the bulk rate — $575 total, with the extra test included.) Solution pH isn't part of the online total — note it on your order and we'll confirm and invoice it separately.
Bacterial endotoxin is ticked per vial under Tests on the order form and bills at the flat $150 on top of that vial's rate; the vial still counts once toward your tier. The result comes 5–7 business days from receipt on its own certificate. For now, ship a second unopened vial of the same lot for it; liquids such as bacteriostatic water are tested from the same vial. It is not a sterility test.
Cost questions
What does it cost to test one vial?
$150 for a single-compound vial. That covers identity, chromatographic purity and net-peptide content in mg per vial, reported on one certificate of analysis. Standard turnaround (5–7 business days, 7 business days maximum) is included.
When do the lower per-vial rates apply?
Automatically, by the number of vials on one order: $150 per vial for 1–4 vials, $125 for 5–9 and $100 for 10 or more. The rate you reach applies to every vial on the order, and the vials can be different compounds. A bacteriostatic water sample is a flat $75 and counts toward the vial count, so it can move the rest of the order into a lower rate.
What is included in the price?
Identity against a certified reference standard (a characterized reference material where no certified standard exists), chromatographic purity (area %) and net-peptide content in mg per vial, by RP-HPLC-UV. Appearance is reported on every certificate at no charge. Every certificate carries a Conforms or Does not conform line against the specifications printed on it; give us a target spec and the result is assessed against that. Each certificate has a QR code and is sealed with a SHA-256 hash, so anyone can check it at kmdanalytical.com/verify.
How much extra is rush service?
Rush adds 100% to the order total and brings turnaround to the next business day: vials received by 12:00 PT are certified by the end of the next business day. You can select it on the order form for orders of up to 4 vials. Larger rush batches and same-day service (+150%, received by 10:00 AM PT) are by arrangement and subject to capacity.
What does a blend cost?

What does endotoxin testing cost?
$150 per vial, flat, ticked per vial on the order form. The add-on sits outside the volume tiers, the rush surcharge and any discount code; the vial still counts once toward the volume tier. The test is bacterial endotoxin by kinetic chromogenic LAL (USP <85>), run in-house and reported in EU/mL on its own sealed certificate, 5–7 business days from receipt. For now, ship a second unopened vial of the same lot for it; liquids such as bacteriostatic water are tested from the same vial. It is not a sterility test.
When is payment due?
Before testing starts. Submitting the order form creates a secure Square invoice with a payment link, shown on screen and emailed to you. Nothing is charged until you pay it. Once payment is received we email the shipping address and submission details. Testing does not begin until the order is paid in full.

Current peptide panel
We can also test other peptides beyond this panel — we just need 5–7 days' prior notice to source the certified reference standard and verify the method. Our scope is RP-HPLC-UV: identity, chromatographic purity, and net-peptide assay, plus the bacterial endotoxin add-on. We don't run LC-MS or sterility testing — and we'll tell you plainly when a job needs a lab that does.

Shipping from outside the US? We accept sealed vials from overseas by express courier — the same steps apply, plus these.
- Use a courier, not the post: FedEx International Priority, UPS Worldwide Express or DHL Express. Since 24 July 2026 every parcel mailed into the US through a postal service needs its own customs entry and bond, filed by the owner or a licensed broker; a courier shipment is entered by the courier's own brokerage. Many national posts also refuse or restrict medicines and powders.
- Address the box to a laboratory, not a person: KMD Group LLC dba KMD Analytical — Analytical Laboratory, 9631 Topanga Canyon Pl, Chatsworth, CA 91311, USA. Do not write "research use only" anywhere on the outside — UPS destroys pharmaceutical parcels marked that way when they are addressed to a residence. Describe the contents as a laboratory sample for analytical testing.
- Customs / commercial-invoice description, one line per vial: "Synthetic peptide, lyophilized powder, X mg, sealed glass vial — laboratory sample for analytical testing only, not for resale, not for human or animal use, non-hazardous."
- Declare a realistic replacement value for each vial — never zero, and never "no commercial value" on its own: US customs requires a real value even when nothing is sold. Select "duties and taxes billed to shipper"; any US duty, brokerage or carrier fee is the shipper's.
- Want a customs declaration and letter of purpose on our letterhead for your order? Reply to your submission email with the shipper's name, address and country and we will send one. It is an accommodation, not a guarantee of clearance (Terms §9).
- Ship sealed vials at room temperature — no dry ice or cold packs. Do not include liquids unless the liquid is the item under test; if it is, pack it in a sealed secondary bag with absorbent.
- Transit and customs time are on top of turnaround: the turnaround clock (5–7 business days, 7 business days maximum) starts the day we log your vials in.
- All prices are in US dollars (USD). Your card issuer converts at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. We do not add VAT or GST to invoices — the service is performed in California; business customers can have their tax ID printed on the invoice on request.
