What CJC-1295 (no DAC) is
CJC-1295 without DAC, more precisely called Mod GRF 1-29 or modified GRF (1-29), is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analog of the 1-29 fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It carries four amino-acid substitutions on the GRF 1-29 backbone — hence 'tetrasubstituted' — and a C-terminal amide. Naming in the marketplace is notoriously sloppy: the same compound is sold as 'CJC-1295 no DAC,' 'CJC-1295 without DAC,' 'Mod GRF 1-29,' and several spelling variants, while the chemically distinct CJC-1295 with DAC — the same backbone extended with a lysine-conjugated maleimidopropionic acid (Drug Affinity Complex) linker — is often listed under nearly identical names. It is an investigational research compound, not an approved drug, and grey-market material carries no regulated identity or content guarantee.
Why get your CJC-1295 (no DAC) independently tested
- No-DAC vs. with-DAC substitution: the single most common identity problem with this compound is receiving the wrong DAC variant. The DAC version is a genuinely different molecule — the added lysine-conjugated maleimidopropionic acid group changes its mass and its reversed-phase retention time — so a retention-time and UV-spectral match against a certified no-DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) reference standard directly answers which variant is in the vial.
- Naming chaos on labels: with at least half a dozen names and spellings in circulation, vendor listings and vial labels are an unreliable guide to what was actually filled. An independent identity check replaces the label with a measurement.
- Blend verification: CJC-1295 (no DAC) is very frequently sold co-vialed with ipamorelin as a 'CJC/Ipa' blend. Chromatographic separation lets each component's peak be examined against its own reference standard instead of trusting a stated ratio, and flags a blend where one component is missing or short.
- Label mg vs. net peptide: material is typically supplied as a lyophilized acetate salt, and acetate counter-ion, residual water, and bulking excipients all count toward gross powder weight. On the small 2-5 mg fills typical for this peptide, that non-peptide mass is a proportionally large slice of the labeled amount; the net-peptide assay reports the actual milligrams of peptide per vial.
What we measure on CJC-1295 (no DAC)
Every CJC-1295 (no DAC) certificate reports exactly three results by reversed-phase HPLC with UV/diode-array detection at 214 nm. Identity is established by matching your sample's retention time and UV spectrum to a certified Mod GRF 1-29 reference standard — which also distinguishes it from the with-DAC variant; chromatographic purity is reported as the area percent of the main peak relative to total integrated peak area; and the net-peptide assay reports the milligrams of peptide present per vial. For CJC/ipamorelin blends, the components are resolved and reported separately where the method and available reference standards allow.

Can you tell CJC-1295 no DAC apart from CJC-1295 with DAC?
Yes. The DAC version carries an additional lysine-conjugated maleimidopropionic acid group, which changes both the molecule's size and its reversed-phase retention behavior, so the two variants do not co-elute under our method. We confirm which variant you have by retention-time and UV-spectral match against the certified reference standard. Note this is a chromatographic identity match, not a mass-spectrometry sequence confirmation.
Is Mod GRF 1-29 the same thing as CJC-1295 no DAC?
Chemically, yes — 'Mod GRF 1-29,' 'modified GRF (1-29),' and 'CJC-1295 without DAC' all refer to the same tetrasubstituted GRF 1-29 amide. The naming confusion is exactly why identity testing is useful: the label tells you what the vendor typed, the chromatogram tells you what is in the vial.
Can you test a CJC-1295/Ipamorelin blend?
Yes, where the two peptides resolve chromatographically — and they do under our method. Each component is compared against its own certified reference standard, and we can report a net-peptide figure for each component where standards are available, so you learn whether both peptides are present and in roughly the labeled amounts.
My vial is labeled 5 mg — will the assay match that number?
The net-peptide assay reports the milligrams of actual peptide measured in the vial you send, excluding acetate counter-ion, water, and excipient weight. It is normal for net peptide to come in below the gross labeled mass even for honest fills; the certificate gives you the measured number so you can judge the gap yourself.
