Independent third-party peptide testing.

You mail us a vial; we tell you what's in it. Every result is issued as a certificate of analysis you, or anyone you send it to, can verify cryptographically. We're a division of KMD Group LLC, based in Chatsworth, California, and we accept mail-in samples from anywhere in the United States.

What we measure on every peptide

Each certificate reports three numbers, and we report all three because any one of them alone can mislead you:

• Identity— we confirm the compound is what it's labeled as, by matching its retention time and UV spectrum against a certified reference standard for that peptide. If it doesn't match the standard, it isn't the peptide.
• Chromatographic purity— the area-percent of your target peak relative to everything else the column resolved. This is the “how pure” number, expressed as a percentage.
• Net-peptide assay (mg per vial)— how many milligrams of actual peptide are in the vial, quantified against the reference standard. This is the number most testing skips, and it's the one that tells you whether a “10 mg” vial is really 10 mg or 6.

Purity and content are not the same thing. A vial can be 99% pure and still be badly underfilled, and it can hold the full labeled mass while carrying impurities you'd want to know about. Reporting only one hides the other. We report both — more on purity vs. net-peptide content.

How we test

All analysis is by reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection (diode-array) at 214 nm, on calibrated instrumentation, run against certified reference standards. That's our scope, and we state it plainly. We validate the method for each compound before we report a number against it.

We keep the specific method recipe — column chemistry, mobile phase, and gradient — proprietary and off the certificate. What you get on the COA is the result and everything you need to trust it, not our recipe.

What we don't do — and will tell you plainly

Honesty about our limits is part of the service. KMD is an RP-HPLC-UV lab. We do not run LC-MS / mass-spec confirmation, residual-solvent analysis, heavy-metals testing, or microbiological testing (sterility, endotoxin, bioburden). If your job genuinely needs a capability we don't have, we'll say so and point you toward a lab that does — rather than quietly running something adjacent and calling it done.

Certificates you can actually verify

Every COA we issue carries a unique QR code and a SHA-256 hash. That hash is a fingerprint of the exact PDF. Anyone can drop the certificate into our verifier and confirm two things independently: that KMD issued it, and that not a single character has been altered since we did. Change one digit of a purity result or a milligram figure and the check fails.

Most COAs in this space can only be trusted as far as you trust whoever handed you the file. Ours can be checked by a stranger. That's the point — see a sample COA.

Turnaround and pricing

Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days from receipt on any order size, with rush service down to 4 business days, next-business-day, and same-day available by arrangement. Turnaround is measured from when your sample arrives — shipping is separate. Per-sample pricing starts at $150, with bulk rates from five samples and a volume rate at ten or more. How to send a sample
