Independent peptide testing lab in California.
KMD Analytical tests peptide vials at its own lab in Chatsworth, California. Mail in sealed vials and get identity, purity and milligrams per vial on a certificate anyone can verify.
If you are in California and want a vial tested by an independent lab in the state, this is where the work is done: 9631 Topanga Canyon Pl, Chatsworth, CA 91311. We test only. We do not sell peptides, so we gain nothing from any result.
A lab in California, not a mailing address
Vials sent to that address are opened, prepared and run on our own HPLC there. Nothing is forwarded to another lab.
If location matters to you, check the street address on the lab's own site and on its map listing. Ours is on Google Maps, and there is more about the lab on the lab facts page. If you are near Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County page covers the location and how to get a sample there.
How mail-in testing works
- Order online. The order form takes one line per vial: what it is, the labeled milligrams, and your lot number if you have one.
- Pay the invoice. Shipping instructions arrive by email with your order number.
- Write the order number on the outside of the package. It is how the box is matched to your order.
- Send sealed vials with any carrier. Pad them so they cannot move. No signature is required.
- We log the box in. Each vial is photographed as it arrived, and turnaround is counted from receipt, so shipping time is separate.
Packing and labeling details are on the submission page. We do not quote a delivery time, because that depends on your carrier.
Price and turnaround
The rate applies to the whole order automatically. A vial with more than one active costs more; the pricing page has the full menu.
What the result includes
Each vial gets its own certificate of analysis. It reports:
- Identity: whether the peptide matches a reference standard for what the label says.
- Purity: how much of the peptide material is the intended peptide, as an area percentage.
- Content: the milligrams of peptide measured in the vial, beside the label claim. Purity and content are different numbers; see purity vs. net-peptide content.
- The chromatogram and the photo of your vial as it arrived.
- A certificate ID and a QR code. The lab keeps a SHA-256 fingerprint of the sealed PDF, and the file check on the verify page compares against it.
The analyst reviews and seals each certificate before it is emailed. Certificates go out vial by vial as each is finished, so you are not waiting on the last one. A sample certificate shows the layout.
The method is HPLC with UV detection. We do not run mass spectrometry, sterility, endotoxin or heavy-metals tests. The scope page lists what we do and do not test, and the panel is on the peptides we test page. Testing uses up the vial. How we test is on the peptide testing service page.
How to verify a certificate
Go to kmdanalytical.com/verify. Enter the certificate ID to confirm that KMD issued the certificate. Drop in the PDF to confirm that the file has not been changed since. Anyone can run both checks, including your own customers. Our guide on how to verify a peptide COA walks through each step.
